Ryan Wiggins landed his first Brisbane treble at Doomben yesterday..

Wiggins, who ventured north two months ago from Sydney booted home Huntalion in the Stoddart Group Plate (1650m), Femme Lien in the Lyndhurst Stud Handicap (1200m) and the Brian Wakefield trained Sir Xaar in the City Pacific Finance Handicap (1350m).

David Hayes regards Miss Finland as the pick of his three runners in Saturday’s Group 1 Futurity Stakes at Caulfield despite drawing the outside barrier and the punters agree.

TAB Sportsbet has Miss Finland at $4.50 favourite and according to Hayes: “Her record is demonstrably better and her Caulfield mile record is impeccable”.

Hayes said that if Miss Finland wins the Futurity, Saturday week’s Australia Cup would be a possibility.

Trainer Richard Freyer confirmed yesterday that Lecia Falcon’s comeback has been pencilled in for Flemington on Super Saturday. Freyer has nominated Lecia Falcon for the Chubb Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on March 8.
