Anthony Mundine retained his WBA super middleweight title with a unanimous points decision over Nader Hamdan last night..

The fight went the distance, with the judges scoring the bout 120-108, 117-111 and 119-109 in Mundine’s favour.

Hamdan was courageous in defeat, but he was simply outclassed by Mundine, who looked extremely sharp.

“Once again the critics who said this was a mismatch, you all saw a great fight,” Mundine said after the win.

“I thought it would go 12 rounds. “He prepared like never before and he wasn’t coming in with the mindset of being stopped.”
