Matthew Hayden received a slap on the wrist as his war of words continues with India’s Harbhajan Singh.. Hayden was reprimanded at last night’s Cricket of Australia code of conduct hearing for calling Harbhajan an “obnoxious little weed” on Brisbane radio. Hayden was found guilty under Rule 9 of Cricket Australia’s code of behaviour for making detrimental public comments about an opponent. For his part, Harbhajan came out swinging yesterday, claiming Hayden was one of the most disliked figures in world cricket. In other cricket news, wrist spinner Brad Hodge announced yesterday that he will retire form international cricket at the conclusion of the one-day series finals against India. |
