The Broncos withheld a mountain of pressure from the Titans in the first half before piling on three tries to none in the second half for a confidence-boosting 24-10 victory last Friday night. Young fullback Josh Hoffman was brilliant, as was winger Antonio Winterstein who bagged two tries. It was a much-needed win by Brisbane as they remained entrenched in the top eight. The Roosters, too, scored an impressive win last week – coming from 30-18 down and 32-24 down with only nine minutes to play – to beat the Bulldogs last Sunday. Five-eighth Todd Carney was again the standout scoring 20 points and the victory was a sweet one for 200th gamer Braith Anasta. Just two points separate these two sides and as the finals get closer it’s matches like these that will decide their fate – settle in for a Monday night cracker!
