For the first time since Craig Bellamy took over as coach in 2003, the Melbourne Storm lost three games on the trot as they could not overcome a huge week emotionally when losing to the Warriors 13-6 at Mt Smart Stadium. The effort was there, but not the execution as they could not finish off their attacking moves with the finesse we are accustomed to seeing. Four losses in a row seems unthinkable but their rivals this week will be fired up knowing they threw one away against Parramatta last week. The Panthers jumped out of the blocks to lead 22-0 but crumbled in the second half to lose 34-28. All of a sudden, after two home ground defeats, the Panthers have lost their little cushion in the top two of the table and must start winning again to confirm their top four aspirations.
