In what was a must-win game for the Raiders against the similarly-positioned Newcastle Knights last week, the green machine gave their home crowd reason to cheer with a stunning 52-18 victory. Led by a sublime performance from fullback Josh Dugan (three tries), the Raiders kept their finals hopes alive. On the other hand, the Sharks were dealt yet another crushing defeat, this time by Manly who ran in nine tries to three. The Sharks face a long road until the end of the season, as they find themselves in a race for the wooden spoon with the Cowboys. Ricky Stuart has called it quits early, and Shane Flanagan will step into the role of ahead coach ahead of his debut season in 2011.
